Following calls from the local community, Pride in Tees Valley are on a mission to make a Pride event happen in Hartlepool this year and we need your help!
With your support we can give Hartlepool a fantastic free, high-quality event, celebrating the Tees Valley’s LGBTQIA+ community with live performances, workshops, markets and more…
Join us in bringing Pride to Hartlepool! As we aim to celebrate diversity and inclusion and improve wellbeing.
With over 220 responses to an online survey and fantastic attendance and input at our first few pride planning meetings we are keen to give Hartlepool an event the town can be proud of.
Not everyone fully embraced the idea of a Pride in Hartlepool when we first started conversations, but we believe with the rising hate crimes nationally and shocking stats of loneliness of LGBTQIA+ people in the region that it is important to try and encourage more understanding and make sure everyone feels seen and included.
“I believe that Hartlepool would benefit from more support for the LGBTIA+ community. It would be nice to see people championing and supporting the gay and trans community. I would bring my family along to celebrate those who need our support. I think that even those who are not in the community could benefit and learn about respect and pride.”

Please support Curious Arts, Pride in Tees Valley and the Hartlepool Community Pride Committee to give crucial visibility and understanding of our community through a Hartlepool Pop-up Pride event in 2024. Supporting LGBTQIA+ communities across the Tees Valley by providing safe, free, fun events. Please join us, support us, give what you can and spread the word.
All donations received go towards the coordination and delivery of Hartlepool Pop-up Pride, purchasing supplies, arts materials, artist fees, transport, marketing and appropriate access support.
