Aim

I'm raising money to cover the manufacturing costs of my debut album, to be released in Autumn 2022 on cd, vinyl and digitally.

Hi! My name is Harriet Bradshaw, and I'm a multi-instrumentalist singer/songwriter from Teesside, UK. I'm raising money to cover the manufacturing costs of my self-titled debut album, to be released in Autumn 2022.  I've been working away writing, arranging and recording these songs for the last two years, and I'm now in the final stages of mixing and mastering; I'm hoping to raise enough money to get the CDs printed and vinyl pressed, the costs of which are ever on the rise!

In addition to my solo career, I have been a session musician for a number of years, performing with such artists as Tom Joshua, Nel Unlit, and Elaine Palmer, as well as Mercury Prize nominated John Bramwell (I Am Kloot). I'm a classically trained pianist and cellist, as well as having a background in choral singing, and the influence of this can be heard in my songwriting and vocal style.

My upcoming album features all original music by myself, with arrangements varying from stripped-bare, haunting vocals with acoustic guitar and piano accompaniment, to more expansive arrangements with strings, as well as in a full band set-up. The album has been recorded at The Fuse studio in Manchester by producer Dave Fidler, and will be mastered by Alan Lowles of Airtight Studios. It also features beautiful artwork, which has been drawn by the immensely talented hand of Stephen Angus.

The music I write is influenced by an eclectic mix of musical artists and literary figures, including Joni Mitchell, Kate Bush, Laura Marling, Carole King, Stephen Sondheim and Rufus Wainwright, as well as poets Sylvia Plath, Frank O’Hara and Simon Armitage.

Any money raised will go towards the cost of CD printing and vinyl pressing, and I will be extremely grateful for any amount you can donate, large or small!
