Aim
Hardwicke Circus tours Ukraine to deliver emergency vehicles, med kits, and workshops, supporting the frontline and children.
We are Hardwicke Circus – a rock band from Carlisle – and this October we’re teaming up with Mission Aid For Ukraine to support the Ukrainian war effort. Together, we’ll embark on our second tour of Ukraine with one clear mission: to buy and deliver two emergency evacuation vehicles to the frontline where it’s needed most.
Along the way, we’ll be performing school workshops for children, playing for troops on military bases and hosting pre-curfew gigs. All ticket and merchandise proceeds will go directly towards the war effort, but we are counting on community support to help us reach our target and purchase the vehicle.
To date, thanks to your donations, Mission Aid For Ukraine has delivered 14 converted SUVs, over 200 personal trauma kits, and countless boxes of humanitarian aid, including clothes, books for children, and care packages from home – Tetley tea, marmalade, and Fox’s Biscuits – reminding our Ukrainian friends they are not forgotten.
The Ukrainian government estimates that each vehicle saves over 40 lives.
The med kits are trauma kits that include high-spec tourniquets, bandages, and chest seals. Each one will save at least one life.
The people we met on our first tour of Ukraine are incredibly resilient. Despite three years of intense fighting, they remain warm, kind, and full of humour and love for life. They’ve become our friends, and we’re honoured to support them.
Right now, the need is greater than ever. Recent political developments have intensified fighting along the entire front, increasing the demand for vehicles and medical aid. By donating whatever you can, together we can make this happen. From Carlisle to Kharkiv! And of course, follow us on the journey as we take Carlisle’s spirit (not the weather) all the way to Ukraine.
