This is an ALL OR NOTHING Crowdfunding campaign. With less than one week away we need to hit our target to make this happen. Before you click away PLEASE consider a £1 or £2 pledge. We also have some lovely rewards but this is not essential. No amount is too small, every amount is impactful towards our projects success. 

The cost of living crisis in the UK is hitting HARD at the moment and Lil's Parlour CIC is on a small but mighty mission to take our PAY AS YOU CAN bake sales nationwide. This means anyone can come to our bake sales whatever their financial circumstances and leave with a freshly baked treat. We are already offering this service locally from our tiny bakery in Northfield, Birmingham but want to take this on the road this autumn and winter and beyond.  

• Continue to offer pay as you can in our bakery, and to expand our range by providing a selection of ingredients too. 
• To Take our Pay as you can bakery on the road to spread our happiness UK wide trading all over the UK at events and festivals and a street near you.
• Pay as you can is for everybody, children, adults, families. No one is ever turned away from our services. 
• This project is fully costed and our accounts are audited by the CIC commission. There is no personal gain for me other than being able to continue doing what I love.

Past impact of Lil's Parlour

Lil's Parlour has run Club Tropicana, last summer we provided thousands of free ice creams for children on low incomes in the local area. We have acted as collection stations for Local Food banks, volunteered with local organisations, provided prizes to fund raising causes, all out of my own budget.  This is what I LOVE to do - this is what I get up for in the morning. This is my mission, my love, my goal. 

Lil's Parlour is launching THE HAPPINESS PROJECT and we are now proudly registered as a CIC. This is a Community Interest Company. This means we are operating on a "not for profit" basis. ALL our profits will be reinvested directly back into the company to provide a social impact in the local and wider community. 

Where is your contribution going? TRANSPARANCY STATEMENT. 

• A reliable and safe camper van - this means we can take our "pay as you feel" initiative UK wide, setting up wherever we want (within street trading regulations obviously). We can also make income catering at weddings, street festivals and anywhere else that needs happiness by cake sprinkles, as we are a CIC this income will go directly to funding other good works. We are choosing a camper van so we can rock up and not have to worry about paying extra for hotels or B&Bs. I'm also going to have fun vlogging it all the way - hopefully entertainingly! I like my creature comforts! It would be easy to pick up the cheapest model that needs a lot of work as a "project" but on this occasion I want to be able to get the best we can afford, moving forward I don't want to be bogged down with costs for mechanics and a fixer upper. Remember Triggers broom? No Thanks! 
• Refit of van to make it suitable and safe for trading - and of course covered in sprinkles! We have found an amazing small business in Wednesbury who I can work with to do this. 
• One years insurance & MOT - to keep the van rolling.

We hope to source a good Mazda Bongo like this for our adventures! 

• One years safe lock up storage (we love our area but it's not the place to store a van) 
• Towards a salary of a full or part time trainee baker - hopefully the first in a long line of Lil's Parlour superstar bakers. At the moment I have been running the business absolutely alone - I am going to need a helping hand. This is going to provide an impactful and useful experience for at least one local person. 
• Any extra funding past our target will go towards an on board coffee machine, this is a REAL extra but would certainly add to our offering and make having Lil's Parlour at events more appealing. More bookings - more fundraising, more opportunities to grow our social enterprise and help more humans. 
• This funding DOES NOT go towards salaries of directors or personal gain. 
• The funding is THE START we need to help this grow. 

Reward details  : 

Every single person that pledges (any amount over £10) will be entered to win a token of appreciation from us. There are 300 tokens of appreciation available, a small prize, some of which have been sourced from other local businesses (I have paid them for these items, my ethics believe hard work should never come for free). Rewards will be sent to winners within 6 months of reaching our target. 

Ice Cream Shop Experience 

An Ice cream shop experience for up to 4 people. You can come along to Lil's Parlour at a mutually agreed time to "take over" the space for a whole hour. Just your party and a whole tank of fresh Mr Whippy Ice cream. Make your own creations, add your toppings and sauces. Eat as much or as little as you like. While this experience is suitable for children, for insurance reasons we must insist at least one adult is part of the group of four. 

Business Ideas Call 

This one is for my fellow bakers. So many times people reach out asking for help, information about stockists, asking me how I come up with my ideas, how I run my business, how to start a baking business. I am offering an hour of my time on a one-to-one zoom video call to pick my brains. During this call I will talk to you about your business, brain storm, ideas hike and get you pumped and most importantly on the right road to continue to build and grow your bakery business. I will be in contact to arrange a mutually agreeable time (evenings will be available) and to grab your social media / website details so I can take a good look at what you are already doing. Lets get your thoughts and turn them actions together!

Pudding Club at Home : 

Ticket to our VIP 90s Pop Party celebration : 

And "possibly" my favourite reward of all. People that follow my brand know that I am ALL over 80s and 90s music, culture & pop music. To celebrate the official launch of Lil's Parlour CIC I will be holding a VIP Pop Party celebration on the afternoon Sunday 11th of September 2022 between 2pm - 6pm at a secret venue (for planning purposes its in the Barnt Green - with plenty of parking). You will be transported back in time to the family parties of your youth - complete with a full "beige buffet" - (hello turkey dinosaurs), 90s disco with mumbling DJ (SHABBA) and a selection of Lil's Parlour bakes, soft drinks and mocktails and surprises all inclusive. Please note this event is alcohol free. It's time to get high on SUGAR and Gina G everyone. This event is open to EVERYONE. We are a fully inclusive organisation and invite all humans to join us. Yes even the children, but they will require their own ticket to come along. The venue is wheelchair accessible with accessible bathroom arrangements. There is access to a quiet, outdoor green space for humans who need a breather sometimes. 

Please note there are two options for tickets - Individual tickets are £20. A family / group ticket for 4 people is £50 - this is a very limited offer to jump in quick to nab!

Interactive Virtual Baking Classes for Kids! 

£12 per class, choose your class when the crowdfunder funds, if you want to take part in more than one class please pledge £24 and so on. 

Classes are aimed for children of Key Stage 1/2 and will be differentiated appropriately. Participants will require adult help to access an oven. No specialist equipment is required, we will not be using any mixers. Classes will be approximately 90 minutes long. Not only will be learning baking skills together we will be talking about where food comes from, a little bit of history and a little bit of science too! Participants will be emailed a week before with a list of weighed ingredients required. I am mindful to be using inexpensive store cupboard ingredients. Nothing crazy or difficult to get hold of. 

A Wheely Nice Reward - £25 or over. 

6 of our famous Wagonish Wheels in EXCLUSIVE flavours for our crowdfunder. Wagonish Wheels are two of our handmade Dutch style cinnamon stroopwafels, stuffed full of vegetarian marshmallow and packed full of flavours. Anyone that knows me knows I am a very, very big fan of Masterchef. I mean everything about it is just a little bit of me. I even went on a culinary cruise to meet John Torode himself and for this I designed myself a sweatshirt - ever since I've been asked where I got it from .. I did it myself! For the crowdfunder I am releasing this EXCLUSIVE Tshirt as a reward to help raise funds. Even Joe Lycett loved it - winning.

T-shirt is in a vibrant yellow Continental Eco tee gender neutral design, certified vegan. Available in size XS - 5XL. I am REALLY fussy about tees and I love this continental fit, it's not a cheapo thin tee but soft, lovely and washes really well.
