Aim

The aim of my project is to help as many people as possible learn to be Happy and share the tools, tips and tricks that have helped me.

Spread a Little Happiness

I am learning to be Happy and I’m passionate about teaching others to become Happy.

Who am I to teach others about Happiness you may be thinking? Well that’s a very good question. Let me tell you.

I have qualifications in Life Coaching and Neuro-Linguistic Progamming (NLP), but more importantly, I feel I am qualified by life experience.

I was unhappy as a child and teenager. I was deeply affected by my parent’s divorce and also by my strict, religious upbringing. I was kicked out of the religion when I was 18 and subsequently had to leave home. I was diagnosed with depression when I was 17 and put on anti-depressants.

In 2007 I was miserable. I was single. I was overweight. I was broke. Heck, I even ran away to Egypt, married an Egyptian and became his second wife! But during that time, I was learning to be happy and I was finally able to come off my anti-depressants in June 2018 after being on them for 26 years!

I tried to come off them many times before, but I relapsed and ended up back on them again. It took me six months to wean off my anti-depressants and it’s one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. I’ve been off them for nearly two years now and it’s still hard, but I am determined that no matter how bad I feel, I will stay off them.

Although things are still hard sometimes, overall, I’m in a good place. My physical and emotional health have never been better. I’ve lost over a stone in weight. I’m in a Happy, healthy relationship. My finances are improving and I’m paying off my debts.

I’ve been on a long journey of self-discovery and learning to become happy. I’m passionate about helping others to also become Happy.

I’m starting a new business - Happiness Club. Through Happiness Club I want to share the tips, tricks, tools and techniques that are helping me learn to be happy. I currently write a blog about Happiness and I present the Happiness Show on Ipswich Community Radio. Happiness Club will offer 121 coaching, workshops and online courses. I also want to travel around the world speaking about Happiness, sharing my experience and inspiring others.

I’d love your help to spread a little Happiness and reach more people. You can help me by signing up to my email list to receive a regular dose of Happiness – you’ll receive an email every time I publish a new piece of content, whether it be a blog post, radio show or something else. The other way you can help me is by pledging an amount to my crowdfunding campaign in exchange for a reward. If you feel you can help in other ways, please feel free to get in touch.

The money raised will fund marketing to help me reach as many people as possible. I am currently working full-time – Happiness Club is my side-hustle – so I also intend to invest in a virtual assistant to help me maximise the use of my time. I may also need funds to invest in personal development and for general, adhoc and administration expenses.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Best wishes and love from Sam xx
