Hannah's Last Holiday

Aim

I’m raising funds for Hannah, who has life limiting disabilities, for one last holiday to Disneyworld and for much needed home improvements.

Hannah was 4 years old when she had her first major operation, a liver transplant. She was born prematurely, and her parents were told she wouldn’t survive the night, then the week, then the month – and here we are 18 years later!

Hannah has had so many difficulties in life, but still smiles and is a bright and cheery young girl. Hannah will be 18 years old next year, but has severe learning difficulties and has the mental age of a child. She has muscular dystrophy, and doctors have said she won’t be able to get a certificate to fly from 2027 onwards, as she will become too unwell to do so. Her health will only get worse.

Hannah’s mother also has muscular dystrophy, and Hannah’s devoted father had to give up his much loved job in order to become a full time carer for both his wife and his daughter. He desperately wants to take Hannah to Disneyworld, on what will be her last ever holiday abroad.

Hannah’s medical conditions mean costs are far higher in terms of the travel itself, and also the insurance that is required in order to enable her to travel safely. There’s no way her father could afford to take her on this last holiday, or to complete the home improvements that are still required after the local authority completed what they could up to Hannah’s maximum allowance.

This is a lovely family and they all really need some help. I know times are hard out there, but please do consider donating to this crowdfunder. It would make Hannah really happy, and would go a long way towards making life more comfortable for her, for however much time she has left with us.

Every penny we raise, after this platform’s costs are deducted, will go towards Hannah’s last holiday and some basic home improvements. Anything raised over and above the target will all be put towards further home improvements that will give Hannah a significantly better quality of life.

I want to thank each and every one of you for your kind donation. No matter the amount, your generosity means more to us than words can express.

Planning something like this is harder for us than it is for most, and we have to jump through so many hoops to ensure Hannah is fit to fly. We’re truly humbled by all the selfless support that will help us make some wonderful memories of one last dream holiday for Hannah. We’ll cherish those memories forever.

I know we have a way to go to hit our target, but it’s heartwarming to see so much support, and to read all the lovely comments in support of our daughter.
