A free community cinema for all. A warm friendly space for family, elderly or isolated members of the community to enjoy a film together
We are Hambleton Village Hall Management Committee - a registered charity who run and maintain the hall and provide events for the benefit of the community of Hambleton Parish and surrounding areas
The village is a hub of the community, providing residents with the opportunity to get involved with community events and local groups. The hall caters for all ages in the community with seasonal family events such as Breakfast with Santa, Easter Family Funday and Scarecrow Festival, as well hiring the hall out to local groups such as whist, family history, amateur dramatics, musical theatre, dance schools, exercise classes, parent and baby groups and community led social groups.
We have recently relaunched our cinema club, which was stopped during covid. We want to encourage members of the community, young and old, to join us. We can provide a warm space, serving hot drinks, popcorn and other treats to enjoy whilst watching a film with family or friends in a safe and warm environment without having to travel far. We are offering free entry for everybody, with drinks and snacks being sold at a reasonable price to cover our costs.

We have funding to cover the cost of licensing a film once a month, but want the opportunity to expand this so that films to suit different age groups can be shown and we need your help to enable us to do this. We had a very successful Christmas film and PJs event in December and now want to expand this during the cold months coming up.

Your donations are very important to us. They will enable us to licence more films, so that we can reach wider audiences and provide a warm space. Giving the more vulnerable and isolated people in the area an opportunity to get out, socialise and enjoy a film. The money will also help us cover the cost of heating the building for these cinema club events.
