To be a place, where everyone is welcome and able to use. To be a fun and exciting place for the local community to use and engage with us.

by Melissa Russell in Portsmouth, United Kingdom

Melissa will be doing a sky dive from 15,000 feet on the 21st September 2023. She will be doing the skydive to raise much needed funds for North End Baptist Church and their church hall refurbishment, where she regularly attends with her family and receives support from them.

North End Baptist Church serves over 850 people in their local community every week!

We have many organisations and people that come through their doors each week. They run a local food pantry which serves over 160 families a week to help with the cost of living crisis and those who are passionate about food waste. And other groups such as Brownies, Med 3, dancing schools, slimming world, Men's cooking groups and NA hire out their hall, as well as lots of groups for children, young people and families that the church runs itself, which supports over 100 children a week.

North End Baptist Church's main hall is in desperate need of tender loving care and they are on a mission to refurbish the hall to make it a real community asset and to continue to support those that come and use the hall.

The picture is an artist mock-up of what the hall will look like once it has been renovated and gives you an idea of what we are working towards; with storage, wall climbing traverse wall, sensory equipment, a lick of paint and new flooring.

Thank you for your support and help in making it better for our local community.
