Who are we?
We are a bunch of people who are passionate about seeing the young people of our community rise up to be who they were created to be. Together we make a great team who can offer a wide and varied range of support and encouragement as well as leading by example in life and work but most importantly with our young people. (Work hard, play hard)
Community impact
The obvious one is we get young people off the streets where they may be more at risk of harm or engaging in criminal activity. The longer term one is we are helping shape the adults of our community by helping them navigate into adulthood with good guidance and a safe place to ask questions and learn more.
Why are we crowdfunding?
We have seen a huge rise in the number of young people accepting free hot meals at our sessions. There has been an increase in the young people attending and the length of time they are staying. We want to continue to support these young people and their families amidst this cost of living crisis. However, we too are feeling the pinch of energy price rises and rising food costs.
How we’ll spend the money raised
We will spend all monies raised directly on energy bills and weekly food costs and the replacement of the hot water boiler in the kitchen with an energy efficient system.
