The General Election is coming, and the Hackney Greens need your support!
We need your donations to help our candidate Antoinette Fernandez reach voters in Hackney North and Stoke Newington with our vision for a fairer, greener future.
In a cost of living crisis and climate emergency our messages have never been more relevant to the people of Hackney. Our candidate for Hackney North and Stoke Newington, Antoinette Fernandez, achieved the highest ever Green vote in a recent by-election and increased our vote share as the Green Party’s North East Constituency candidate for the London Assembly, and she is aiming to do the same for this general election.
Antoinette’s campaign is centred on advocating for environmental and social justice for Hackney. She is ready to speak up for Hackney residents and businesses, for rent reforms, for community-led Universal Basic Income trials (UBI), and demand that new developments in the borough provide safe, affordable homes and social housing.
Antoinette has lived in Hackney for sixteen years and has been involved in the Green Party as deputy chair of Greens of Colour and as an Equality, Diversity & Inclusion officer for the Greens’ London regional party and is also a member of the Green Party’s Equality and Diversity committee.
We need your help to spread the word. We want to make sure everyone across the borough knows that:
- There is a party that stands for a fairer, greener future;
- Antoinette is committed to creating meaningful change for the people of Hackney.

- Cover election costs. To make sure our voice is heard in the General Election, we need to fund the costs required to put Antoinette on the ballot.
- Maximise voter outreach. We want every voter in Hackney North and Stoke Newington to know there is an alternative, and a chance to use their vote in support of a fairer, greener future. Leaflets, letters, and online campaigns all cost money but help us reach more people.
This July we have a critical opportunity to show the major political parties that Hackney voters care about the climate emergency, economic inequality and social justice.
Every vote counts, even in Hackney: the number of votes we get across the country directly determines the amount of media coverage and funding for our MPs’ work that we are entitled to receive.
We are a party powered by volunteers and donations from our members and supporters. Every donation makes a difference, no matter the size. A generous donor has agreed to match every donation made in the next 14 days, up to a maximum of £1,000. That means every pound you give will be doubled! But this offer is time-limited, so please give what you can before Wednesday 26th June. With your help, we can raise a further £2,000 to enable us to reach every voter in Hackney North & Stoke Newington with our Green message.
By making a donation you confirm that you are eligible to make political donations in the UK, and that this donation is not made for or on behalf of any other person. We're required to run electoral register checks from people making donations above £500, and if you donate over £1,500 during a year, we are required to let the Electoral Commission know, who will make this available on their website. All donations go to general campaigning funds.
