Aim
To provide veterans suffering mental illness within our communities to find the healing power of music
The Friends of the Royal British Legion Band of Wales is a charity to support the unfunded Royal British Legion Wind Orchestra in Wales. We also support with financial grants to military Cadet Force wind bands. As an expansion to our mission to bring the healing power of music to more beneficiaries, especially veterans suffering with mental illness, we have teams up with Guitars for Veterans in American and Australia to bring this wonderful project to the UK. We aim to provide our suffering heroes with the opportunity to find calm and peace in the environment of guitar music by supplying free tuition and instruments. This is a rare form of assistance as it is ready, there in the corner of the room, 24 hours a day when the need arises, not just in working hours..
Years of the project running in America has proven hos effective this can be to bring our people back from the horrors of mental illness and PTSD. We desperately need funding to role this project out to help more veterans come back home.
