Aim
Install a third lane on our existing artificial practice facility to cope with the increase in playing members.
Who are we?
Guiseley Cricket Club is located 10 miles north of Leeds in West Yorkshire along the A65 main road surrounded by the rolling hills in the lower Wharfedale valley. We are a family oriented club and one of the founder members of the Aire-Wharfe Senior & Junior Cricket League (https://awscl.play-cricket.com).
We have a long and proud tradition within the Aire-Wharfe senior and junior cricket league being one of the founding members.
We are a family friendly club with 400 members and over 230 playing members across our senior men's, ladies and junior teams (we have 3 senior, 3 Ladies, 9 junior teams and a Girls U13 team). We also run a Friday fun cricket evening for 5-7 year olds which has 55 places for children to get their first taster of cricket at Guiseley. 
Why are we crowdfunding?
Guiseley Cricket club needs your help to raise the required funds to support our club our club and the local community to play sport and use as an open space.
Please donate as much as you can to support Guiseley Cricket Club by raising £8,000. All proceeds will be invested in a new third lane for the artificial practice area to increase training capacity. We desperately need this to improve weekly training and provide additional capacity for new teams and members across all sections.
The single lane will allow groups of upto 30 players to use artificial nets safely instead of the current 20. the current capacity is insufficient to support most teams using them. To keep developing the club and providing facilities for the future we need to invest in additional capacity.
How we’ll spend the money raised
We will install a single enclosed (security fencing and gate) practice lane next to the existing facility. the land is flat around the facility so limited land levelling will be needed. We will aim to plan screening trees and bushes to reduce the visual impact of the fencing and noise to neighbours.
Community impact
Guiseley Cricket club is at the heart of the local community providing facilities for those engaged with cricket, sports and local charities and groups. The additional facilities will support mens, women's and juniors develop and grow. the club has close links with the local schools who use the facility in addition to their own.
