An ultrasound scanner would greatly reduce the time we have to monitor potentially pregnant piggies so that they can be rehomed quicker.

We're still collecting donations

On the 9th March 2025 we'd raised £252 with 7 supporters in 84 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.

2025 sees the 10th anniversary of the Ayr based rescue centre. Rehoming 220 piggies in 2024 alone, with numbers growing year on year.

Run by volunteers, the centre receives requests to take in 20+ piggies each week and this is only likely to increase after christmas. Unfortunately they do not have the facilities or the volunteers for this many piggies to be suitably housed in the rescue.

If there's a chance that surrendered piggie is pregnant this puts an increased strain on the already stretched resources as they must be monitored for the next 10weeks and cannot be rehomed within that time.

There are already have a total of nearly 80 surrendered piggies in the building, all of whom will likely be spending this christmas without a home, some for their second year.
