Aim

We're building a tennis clubhouse in the heart of our community to encourage new and established players, young or old, to enjoy tennis.

Who are we?

We are a Community Amateur Sports Club that aims to promote tennis at all levels within our community and the local area.

Why are we crowdfunding?

The new clubhouse will sit at the heart of the village, and we want as many people as possible in the community, local businesses, family and friends to get involved in the project and feel that they have a stake in encouraging tennis, providing healthy activities for our young people and investing in the future of our community.

How we’ll spend the money raised

We need to raise a further £17k on top of what we have already raised. We have applied for match funding, so if we get 100+ donors contributing a total of £8.5k, this amount should be match funded to reach the £17k required.

Funds will be spent on:-

GROUNDWORKS to clear the 8m x 4.5m site next to the tennis courts.

ELECTRICS...because a little light and heat is always a good thing!

Supply and construction of the CLUBHOUSE building, to include a meeting space, basic kitchen area and a storage room.

A paved VIEWING AREA to the front, to encourage people to stop and enjoy the tennis.

Community impact

The Clubhouse will draw together all our tennis players and encourage more to join the club and ensure a good future for the club.  Other users of the all-weather courts, such as netball will also benefit from access to this great court-side facility. Other groups in the village can also book use of the attractive meeting space, which benefits from central village parking and will have disabled access.

How you can play your part

There are four simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.

1. Make a pledge. Don’t delay if you’re going to support us because momentum is key to our success!

2. Spread the word. Share our project on your social media pages and tell the world to get behind us! The more people we reach, the more support we will get.

3. Offer rewards. Get involved if you are a local business by donating things we can offer to our supporters. We will give you a shout out!

4. Fundraise for us. If you want to run your own fundraiser – maybe a sponsored activity or similar – use the 'contact project' button at the top of our page to let us know. Setting up your own page only takes a few minutes and you won’t need any bank details. Just a fun idea!
