Aim: Provide low cost mental health and wellbeing support through accessible and inclusive services to those who may otherwise not benefit.

GROWtogether – support us to support others

The GROWtogether team are lacing up their walking boots and making every step count in the Dundee Kiltwalk (17th August, 2025) to raise funds to support mental health and wellbeing in the community.  With an experienced team of wellbeing service providers, project GROWtogether aims to raise funds to enable those who are experiencing a barrier to accessing support for their mental health and wellbeing.

Just look at the video from last year - what an event to be part of!

Teamwork makes the dream work

Kirsty – is the founder of GROW, providing therapy and support services in her space in Dudhope Castle in Dundee. Kirsty is a trauma experienced therapist with a strong desire to address barriers that get in the way of accessing support for mental health and wellbeing, believing everyone should have the chance to GROW.  1748437273_pleas_work_pic.jpgAs a First Aid for Mental Health Instructor, Kirsty delivers accredited training to enhance the understanding of how to best support those who may be struggling with challenges to mental health.  Kirsty brings to the team her educator background, passion for growth and healing through therapy and connection and keen interest in neurodiversity.

Lynn – is a Counsellor and Trauma Enhanced Practitioner who works with children and young people in schools and with adults in alcohol and substance misuse. She likes to bring a creative approach to her work, using various mediums to explore trauma and find new ways of developing coping strategies and build on existing resilience. 1748437224_lynn_pic.pngLynn believes that with the right support and guidance everyone has the capacity to heal from adversity and live a fulfilling life.

Bev – is an experienced wellbeing coach and facilitator with a background working with various communities with the key belief – the power of connectedness and bringing people together to unlock potential.

Julie –works with adults, children, and young people through a trauma-informed, neuro-affirming, and person-centred lens. Her approach is integrative and collaborative – led with compassion, empathy, and a belief in the power of the reconnecting mind and body connection after life’s toughest experiences. With experience across private practice, the NHS, schools, and mental health charities, she has seen just how much support and understanding can change lives. This walk is a way to 1751030234_julie.jpeggive back and keep that support going. She has a keen passion for supporting women through the many changes from the Peri and post-natal experience and how life is met with many different challenges in the Peri and Postmenopausal stages of life.

Our WHY

Each of us cares deeply about providing much needed services to those in Dundee who are struggling to access appropriate support.  With a range of life and professional experience between us and a strong belief that connection is key to better mental health and service delivery, we are joining forces to offer our support in challenging times.  Through combining our wellbeing skills in creative and dynamic ways, we hope to make a difference to those who are struggling.   Through raising funds on the Kiltwalk and other fundraising efforts over the next few months, we want to show you we care, we see you and we want to support. Any donations or support will allow us to do just that.

Interested?  Here's how you can support us ...

If joining the Kiltwalk is not for you, you can still support us by:

  • Donating :)

Oh, and Toni will be walking the 20 miles too - what a hero!

What your donation will offer to someone in need of support

Every penny raised will go directly towards the provision of support for someone who may not otherwise have had such an opportunity.  This may include:

  • therapeutic sessions
  • group opportunities to learn, connect and grow alongside others who are experiencing similar challenges
  • workshops that will support participants to develop better coping strategies to manage their own mental health
  • creative opportunities to develop new ways to support wellbeing
