Grow Urban Festival 2025: Cultivating Community & Urban Agriculture
Building on Success
Following the remarkable success of our previous festivals, the Grow Urban Festival London returns in 2025 with an expanded network of partners and an even more exciting programme. Since our launch in 2021, we've created a vital platform showcasing the diverse urban growing initiatives flourishing across London's boroughs.
Our Vision
The Grow Urban Festival connects individual growers, community projects, and the public through workshops, presentations, site visits, and collaborative events. We believe in highlighting often overlooked grassroots projects creating meaningful change at the local level—from initiatives providing community access to fresh food to programs empowering marginalized groups through gardening.
New Partnerships for 2025
We're thrilled to announce new partnerships with Imperial College, Kew Gardens, and Nowdays on Earth, Rewild joining our existing supporters: the Centre for Innovation and Voluntary Action, the National Trust, National Park City, Great Big Green Week – Climate Coalition, The Conduit Club, Elysian Roots, Charles Dowding, The Natural History Museum, and over 30 event partners.
Our Roots
The festival emerged from personal experience as an individual grower and educator in North Kensington, teaching mushroom cultivation and nutrition as part of the local resilience movement. What began as a focused initiative on the medicinal properties of mushrooms has blossomed into a comprehensive celebration of urban agriculture and community resilience.
Why Your Support Matters
While we've successfully delivered previous festivals with minimal outside funding, your contributions will directly support:
- Organising and managing an expanded program of events
- Extending our marketing efforts to reach new audiences
- Providing direct support to participating projects and initiatives
- Ensuring the festival's continued growth and sustainability
