We'd love to see the whole nation growing our special huge sunflowers to say thank you to NHS frontline staff and volunteers at the frontline of the COVID-19 pandemic. And in National Gardening Week, there couldn't be a better time to start sowing!

Let's make the nation smile!
This campaign is all about getting children, parents and grandparents, as well as friends, neighbours and whole communities to nurture and grow a nationwide crop of sunflowers this summer in recognition of the huge effort made by the NHS and essential workers, as a beacon of hope for the end of the pandemic and to make the country smile too! And at the same time we want to raise much-needed funds for charity.

How to get your SPECIAL seeds
Select a REWARD and we'll send you 8 giant 'Pike's Peak' sunflower seeds to sow and grow in a prominent place where everyone can see them. If you are happy NOT to receive the seeds, but still donate, then use the DONATE option at the top. And now is the ideal time to sow our extra-special sunflower seeds for the BEST results!
• With YouTube videos on How to Sow Your Seeds, as well as follow-ups about aftercare and planting out your sunflowers, you'll have plenty of advice to ensure success.

Children will love it
Grow Some Sunshine is a great way to get children and adults alike to grow and nurture seeds and plants – plus everyone can be involved in comparing and sharing their results on social media. By joining our dedicated Facebook page to post your growing stories and sunflower photos, you'll be able to see who grows the tallest and biggest flowers. And later in the year there’ll be huge sunflower seedheads all across the UK that’ll help feed our garden birds and wildlife.

Where your donations go
Money raised will go to the NHS Charities Together Covid-19 Urgent Appeal, which support NHS frontline staff and volunteers caring for COVID-19 patients in hospitals around the UK. Each donation is subject to basic packing and postage charges, together with fees incurred using Crowdfunder. We will aim for you to receive seeds within 5 days of your donation.
