Refurbishment of Grove Paying Fileds Changing Rooms

Who are we?

We are Portland United Youth Football Club and we support 16 youth teams and varying groups who just like to play football and we also have a men and ladies team

Why are we crowdfunding?

This year marks the club’s 25th anniversary, which is an important milestone for everyone involved. Over that time, the club has grown into a major part of the local community. We now have 16 teams and more than 200 registered players, providing football opportunities for children, young people and adults across Portland.

Separate from our anniversary celebrations, the club urgently needs to refurbish the changing room facilities at Grove Corner. The current facilities are in desperate need of improvement and are no longer suitable for the growing number and range of teams using them.

This has become particularly important with the introduction of our new women’s team, alongside our youth, girls’ and mixed teams. We want to ensure that all players, coaches, match officials and visiting teams have access to safe, practical and welcoming facilities.

We are therefore looking for support from local residents, businesses and tradespeople. This could include financial donations, building materials, fixtures, decorating supplies, skilled labour or volunteers who may be able to assist with the refurbishment.

As a community club, our aim is to improve the facilities not only for our current members but also for future generations. The changing rooms are the immediate priority, although we also have wider plans to improve the site and create better sporting facilities for the Portland community.

How we’ll spend the money raised

All Money raised will go into the refurbishment of these facilities replacing floors,floorcovering , decorating, repairs to plumbing and installation of new showers, and toilets

Community impact

Portland is a small Isle and we offer the only football provision on the isle for our younger population. If we did not provide the opportuinity for
