We're still collecting donations
On the 16th July 2020 we'd raised £4,520 with 85 supporters in 28 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
We want to ensure we are able to survive this crisis and open our doors once again to offer a full gymnastics programme to our community.

On the 16th July 2020 we'd raised £4,520 with 85 supporters in 28 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
We would purchase new equipment and extend our disability inclusion provision. Enable more employment opportunities for young adults through subsiding coaching courses.
Crowdfunder is making it 100% free for community and charity crowdfunding projects during the coronavirus crisis. The Covid-19 epidemic has affected our sport as it is an indoor activity and therefore will be one of the last facilities to reopen.
These are unprecedented times but together, we are stronger, and with your response we can offer a great positive experience for our gymnasts and families.
Grindon Gymnastics previously trained in a school which we outgrew due to space, storage and had large waiting lists. We converted an industrial unit last summer with a large group of volunteers who cleaned, painted and made our gymnastics dream possible. We have fund raised every week through bag packs and raffles to buy equipment on a monthly basis. Our gymnasts have successfully competed in regional and national events. We are an inclusive club offering a wide variety of gymnastics and dance activities.
We had so many plans, events and competitions cancelled since March this year. We cant wait to reopen our doors when it is safe to do so.
After this crisis has passed we will have to find a new normal. This will mean smaller class sizes, new cleaning regimes, purchasing safety equipment and a new way of working on a phased return basis. This is an unexpected expense and an unfortunate consequence of Covid-19. We still have large outgoings with little income and will continue to fundraise.
We serve a deprived area and it is our expectation we will need to support even more families. We are a community interest company with social objectives of mental health, children's wellbeing, fitness and deliver coaching programmes for young adults.
Throughout our closure we have provided zoom classes, quizzes and shared fun activities keeping our community active and involved.
We need your support to be able to continue to thrive and enjoy having a successful gymnastics club.
In return for your support we will hold a prize draw with donated prizes, small gymnastics equipment and a Milano leotard voucher. We will publish winners on our facebook page after the crowfunder date has passed.
