Aim: Ensure that we are ready to return to Rugby in the best possible state by improving the playing facilities for all rugby sections.
It's great to see the wider community getting behind us not only have we been covered by Gravesham Councils Social Media Feeds but we have also received some supportive coverage in the Kent Messenger/Kent Online website for our project, if you would like to read the article please follow the below link.

2021 should be the centenary of Gravesend RFC in its current guise. While Rugby was played in the Borough before we can trace our roots firmly back to this date.
During the past 100 years Gravesend RFC has operated as a true Community Rugby Club offering a home for Sports Men, Women and Children of all abilities. With five Senior men's teams, a thriving Ladies team, a Wheelchair Section and a full complement of Mini and Youth teams in each age group from as young as 5yrs through to our successful Academy programme filled with 17/18 year olds. We pride ourselves on being active within the community engaging with schools, colleges and other community groups on a regular basis supporting both our members and the local community wherever possible.
The Club just like so many other sport organisations and charities has been hit very hard by the COVID 19 pandemic and although with the help of its many volunteers we have managed to secure the immediate future of the club we find ourselves in need of your support due to our inability to fundraise through this period.
We have three projects detailed below which we had planned to fund through events such as Family Fun Day, the popular Beer Festival, Summer Ball and Summer Raffle all of which we have been unable to enact with a loss to the club of a significant part of its revenue, each of these projects are key to the progression of the club and affect all members and supporters of GRFC.
So in conclusion we are looking to raise £10,000 from our Members and Supporters which along with the matched funding we are applying for from Sport England will enable us to complete the projects in time for the planned return to Rugby this Autumn. So we would ask that you give generously to continue the progression of the Mighty G's and allow us to make the improvements to Rectory Field and the Wheelchair section
Gravesend RFC would like to thank Kent Schools, Caesars Restaurant, Hunters, Quilter Financial Advisers and KASBAH for being such great supporters and donating to our club!
Sport England: Active Together has provided £10,000 of match funding
This project successfully funded on 21st July 2020
