Aim
Help make Greenbank greener & more financially sustainable.
Help make the Greenbank Project become more green by putting solar panels on our Sports Academy roof. 200 solar panels on our roof will save the Greenbank over £1000 a month in electricity costs & will release over 17000kg less C02 into the atmosphere. As part of the Energy for Tomorrow Campaign British Gas will triple any donations up to the value of £250 you make. So if you donate £5 British Gas will give £15. If you donate £250 British Gas will give £750.
The Greenbank Project is a regional & national hub for sport & education for disabled people based in Liverpool. The Sports Academy is a community facility which prioritises the development of disability sport. Presently we have up to 8 Paralympians in 3 different sports training at our centre each week. Our weekly disability sports programme offers 25 hours of coaching to over 150 disabled people participating every week in 7 different sports. The disabled sports people use the centre alongside thousands of non disabled people who participate in sports such as handball, roller derby, netball, badminton, futsal, football, boxing, dodge ball etc. The Greenbank College offers a high level of education for 220 disabled students. The students are given the necessary support they require to reach their potential.
