Arnold Warneken Green Party MP for Selby & Ainsty

Aim

Help us turn Selby & Ainsty Green by electing Arnold Warneken as Yorkshire's first Green MP.

The Green Party is growing fast. We now represent people in Westminster and in a record number of local councils, as well as in the London Assembly.

Selby and District Green Party is working hard to offer positive change in our community. Since 2021, we have gained seats at Parish and Town Council level in Sherburn in Elmet, South Milford and Selby Town. In the new North Yorkshire Council, there are now five Green Party councillors - one of those being Arnold Warneken, our Parliamentary Candidate for the July 2023 By-Election.

During last year's council elections, Arnold listened carefully to residents in his ward who told him they wanted better representation. Someone who would stand up for them. He was elected with almost 70% of the vote ousting the tories.

Arnold has lived and worked in the constituency for 40 years and has a proven track record, of working tirelessly for the people he represents. He is a hands-on politician and believes his approach of engagement and compromise leads to positive results.

He has a reputation as someone who listens, represents residents and takes action.

If we are going to run the strongest campaigns possible we need your help.

We rely on the support of ordinary members and supporters, and aren't backed by big business, so any donation you can offer means a huge amount!

£5 could buy 50 Green posters to go up in people's windows

£50 could buy 1500 calling cards to give to residents while door knocking

£100 could pay for 3000 newsletters telling voters about Green campaigners' hard work in Selby & Ainsty

*Please note if you wish to donate £50 or more you must be on the UK electoral register. Permissibility checks will be undertaken in compliance with electoral rules and information about donations, including donor details, may be published by The Electoral Commission.*
