Green Fingers Project

Here at Worthing Mencap we support adults with a lifelong disability and mental health issues. During the pandemic we saw a big increase in social isolation amongst our members, and a big decline in their mental well being therefore.

It is a known fact that doing physical activities can really aid symptoms of anxiety and depression, and really strengthen individual mental wealth.

Our Organisation has therefore been offered a wonderful space at Springfield Infant School, as an opportunity for some of our members to be involved in bringing it back from neglect, and restoring it to its former glory:

It is also an important inclusive project bringing infant aged children together with those with a learning disability. As a parent of two mini humans, I feel this is one of the most important elements of this mission. Having worked with Springfield Infant School and Nursery, it is also very apparent that inclusivity is at the core of everything they do to.

With all of the pending budget cuts, we just urgently need some pennies to make this happen!

For £40 pledges: One hour photoshoot!

I am offering a one hour photoshoot for 2 families. Pick a beach or park, or even your garden, and I will come and shoot and edit photos of your children. All of the displayed images below are taken on an iPhone 12 Pro. I don't believe in fancy equipment, or wish to distract children with giant lenses. But what I can promise you is natural and documentary style images to keep for years to come!

For a £10 pledge, you will receive a concrete geometrically painted planter, made by some of our members at Mencap!
