With the stretch funding we'd like to expand the Warm Hub into a community led food...
We're creating warm spaces in Greaves to support our community and strengthen our neighbourhood this winter.
We’re a community led charity that works across Lancaster promoting wellbeing, mental resilience and positive community action. Based at two centres (City and South Lancaster) our resources focus upon those most vulnerable within our neighbourhood. This includes supporting people with mental health challenges, particularly those who have been bereaved, those with learning disability, the isolated elderly, individuals experiencing crisis (economic and emotional), recovering addicts, new parents and, in partnerships, with refugees, asylum seekers and those struggling with debt.

Our activity includes social action and community organising, bereavement support, volunteering opportunities and employability skills for those with a learning disability, Emergency Response Centres, support for those experiencing memory loss and/or dementia (and their families and carers) and activity that reduces social isolation within the community.
The most visible of our activities is the Cornerstone Cafe, our community based cafe and warm hub, supported by community volunteers and providing a supportive gateway into our wider services, and the services of our key partners.
We are working with partners to increase our ability to respond pro-actively to those experiencing economic crisis and we have re-focused some of the work of our community venues to enable us to respond in a more impactful way including the development of a community food club, a fledgling community fridge programme and work to explore the potential for a family breakfast club and community warm hubs in the City Centre and in the Greaves area of Lancaster.

We are crowdfunding to support the costs of heating and lighting the spaces at LMC Scotforth Road and providing hot drinks and, where possible, food.

Your donation will provide warmth, hot drinks, toast and porridge at our Warm Hub at Scotforth Road each Monday, Wednesday and Friday this winter.
