Aim
Help us grow! We’re raising funds to expand, reach more people, and increase employment opportunities for our trainees.
Who are we?
At Ivybridge Brewing Company, we are passionate about changing the lives of people with learning disabilities and autism by providing a workplace where they can thrive and work. Our dedicated team attend weekly sessions in our brewery and taproom where they learn new skills, build in confidence, and become part of something bigger. Whether it’s brewing or packaging our award-winning beers or serving customers in our busy taproom, all our trainees gain immensely from being part of our set up.
Only 5% of adults with a learning disability and 22% of adults with autism are in meaningful employment and our main mission is to address this disability employment gap by providing training and paid work for our dedicated team. As a Community Interest Company (CIC), we reinvest our profits to create more training and employment opportunities for our team. So, every pint or bottle of beer that we sell contributes to our mission to address the disability employment gap…In 2024, we provided 650 hours of paid work and 2,300 hours of volunteering for our team, but we can do even more.
Why We’re Raising Funds
We’re proud of what we’ve achieved so far, but now we’re ready to get our message out to more people in Ivybridge and beyond. With your help, we’re aiming to raise funds to increase work opportunities for our team by expanding our operation to include more events and deliveries. This will mean that more people will be able to experience our beer and learn about our mission and our team will learn new skills, increase their confidence and experience invaluable social connection.
Specifically, we will use the money to fund
- A delivery van to help us get our beer to new customers and allow our trainees get to events
- Support for our team to attend events and in the skills training needed for events and deliveries

The Impact So Far
We’ve already seen the difference the brewery can make. Our trainee Tom shared, “Being part of the brewery has given me confidence I never thought I’d have” and Jason said how… One of our customers told us, “This is more than a brewery; it’s a community.” These voices remind us why we’re here: to brew social change, one pint at a time.
