Aim
Our fireworks cost £1000. This year we want to both cover the cost and raise funds for the Pavilion Project to improve the heart of Barrow
BARROW TOGETHER
Barrow is a brilliant village. Through successive Lockdowns we have supported each other through Care For Barrow and in whatever ways we can to keep spirits high and reinforce a sense of community and belonging. We have a new pavilion which needs to have a life and begin to contribute to what makes our village so special. The Village firework display is an essential, established fundraising opportunity, but this year it will be harder to cover costs through the usual bucket collections on the Gates. People may not have cash and we don't yet do contactless. So this is a safe, quick and convenient way to both show your support for the village and, more practically, help cover the costs of the event. The whole show only happens thanks to volunteers - and professional standard fireworks are not cheap - £1000 for 15 minutes or so of oohs and ahhhhs. But we think they're worth it as this year, more than any other year, the generations come together to enjoy each other's company as the sky lights up once again over the Barrow Playing Field.
