Grantham 2 Paris charity bike ride

Aim

To raise money for 8 local charities by riding 400 miles in 36 hours from Grantham, UK to Paris, France

• Since 2013, we have been doing charity bike rides raising money for The Naomi Fund. This was set up to celebrate the life of Naomi Fardell, daughter of Dean & Michelle, who sadly passed away having been born with congenital heart defects.

Over the years many events have been organised in Naomi’s memory with monies raised going to Great Ormond Street Hospital, Heart link @ Glenfield Hospital, Leicester and The Kingfisher Ward & Community Team at Grantham Hospital. Naomi frequently visited all of these places during her short life.

In 2013, 2015, 2017 & 2019 the Naomi Bike Challenge Teams have raised a staggering amount of money, well in excess of £96,000 which was distributed to the 3 hospitals named above.

This year however, the G2P Team have decided to raise money for “8 x Local Charities”, they are:

• The Naomi Fardell Fund – Grantham Kingfisher Ward
• St Barnabas Hospice
• Grantham Foodbank
• South Lincolnshire Blind Society
• Dove Cottages
• Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance
• Place 2 Bee
• Don’t Lose Hope

All of these are very worthwhile causes and I hope that you will dig deep and help us raise even more money this year to support the amazing work that they all do.

Therefore, on Friday 22nd July, a team of 24 cyclists and 10 support crew will set off from Wyndham Park, Grantham at 07:00hrs and arriving at the Eiffel Tower, Paris at 19:00hrs on Saturday 23rd July 2022.    

A total of 400 miles of cycling in 36 hours with all monies raised being distributed among the above causes.
