30yrs a hobby cake maker & sugar florist I was convinced by friends that I was way above hobby level and it was high time I made a profession out of my hobby, requests to make wedding cakes and celebration cakes from friends of friends confirmed that my market was there and within weeks of my deciding to go pro I was searching online for 2019 and 2020 diaries as the bookings flooded in.  I then took my cake samples, each one being a recipe designed and tested by myself, out to a few craft fairs and rapidly earned the name of being the best gourmet cakes in Aberdeenshire. My ethos is to use only natural ingredients and where ever possible using locally produced products. 

We now have the premises to turn into a small bakery in which to produce gourmet cakes, macarons and patisserie  but a distinct lack of new business support means we are struggling to get anywhere as there are no grants or local authority business loans aavailable to the food side of retail sector. I refuse to give up, my products speak for themselves, this will quickly become a bakery which is looking to employ part time staff & that means we can give youngsters a great start in their working lives.

Our shop is st 1 straight path in Banff, I'm there constructing display cakes over the next few weeks so do feel free to pop in for a chat even if it isn't about cake !
