Grandads Aspirations
Grandad's aim is to bring together, aid and promote local community groups and small charities in the Bognor Regis area and assist individuals also with essential items for the home that they maybe cannot afford something which he and Vanessa (his van) have been doing with not inconsiderable success for over 3 years now.
How will Grandad acieve this?
By offering advice and assistance on sourcing funding streams in Grannys Box, a room inside the shop set up specifically for the use of those involved in community groups and local charities in which we will provide a meeting place with tea/coffee etc, IT access, printer, networking sessions and a swap/lend/borrow shop to save groups the cost of rental when putting on fundraising evets etc
By raising awareness of the multitude of groups that offer invaluable services in the local community
By raising monies in house thru the sale of upcycled/recycled/refurbished furniture that will assist local groups and charities
Offering classes in a multitude of areas centred around the make-do-and-mend mentality to those in the community that would benefit from it...
GRANDADS AIM IS TO HELP THOSE THAT HELP OTHERS AND TO EMPOWER AND CHAMPION COMMUNITY SPIRIT
Grandad has secured a shop as shown above and has, thru selling of upcycled/recycled furniture managed to raise enough to cover the cost of one months rent up front £475 plus one months deposit £475 and £100 towards the administration fee from the letting agency of £295. Grandad has also secured stock for the shop but needs help to furnish/kit out Grannys Box with desks, chairs, IT filing cabinets etc and the remainder of the administration fee.
Hence the appeal for £450 (as all items will be sourced with an for recycled, pre-loved goods that still have much life to give, save landfill/disposal and are considerable cheaper than new.
If you can help monetarily then Grandad thanks you and if you cannot afford to then please just wish the project well and pop in for Werthers Original one day and say "Hello" to Grandad as well wishes, positive thoughts and friendship will help in untold ways also.
