With your help we are hoping to open a coffee shop, perfect for the local & wider community for meet-ups, workshops, coffee and a cake!
Hi, I'm Lindsey. I'm an Interior Designer and the owner of Grace and Grey, a Home Decor and Interior design store! Running a small business in the current climate is a challenge, we all know all too well how much prices have risen everywhere!
This is where you can really help to make a difference, not only to us but to the local residents, and to the services we can provide to other independent businesses in the area. Our plan, and the one that sparked this campaign, is to create a coffee shop in the front section of our Poulton shop.
Poulton has a wonderful community and we would love to be a part of that with our cafe! We're planning on locally sourcing as much of the ingredients and provisions used in the coffee shop as we can, helping to support other local businesses and the wider rural area. We will be offering all the items used in the coffee shop for sale, so if you like the coffee beans used in your cuppa you can buy them, if you like the mug it was served in you'll be able to buy that too! Even down to the tables and chairs.
With your help we will create a new space where people can come to either spend some time alone with a book, socialise with old friends or meet new acquaintances; whilst enjoying a cup of their favourite beverage.
Once we have opened the coffee shop it will allow us to host a variety of local events on set evenings, for other local businesses but also for us to start running our own creative workshops for customers and locals to learn new skills and meet new people. We feel sustainability and keeping people creative is important so we would like to help teach new skills with activities such as lampshade making, candle making and furniture upcycling, making the most of the vast amount of charity shops in the area.
About the funds raised.
Everything always comes at a price and all this is a little too much for us to finance organically in such a short period of time. We will be re-purposing, re-using and making as much as we can ourselves as well as upcycling charity shop finds but we still need help so the funds raised will go towards the purchases of the following items:
It would be absolutely amazing if you can help in any way that you can. I have always been passionate about interiors and design. My love of all things design, led to the start of Grace and Grey. Named after my eldest daughter and my favourite colour, Grace and Grey is all about effortlessly helping people buy style for their homes at affordable prices. My dream of owning my own shop is now finally a reality, since starting out in business, it has been funded completely through organic growth, gritted determination and hard work. Up to now I have managed to be self-funded, but now we need that extra help. We will be extremely grateful to anyone who can help our passion reach its full potential.
Thanks Lindsey and the G&G Team.
