Gorseinon CC Machinery Replacement Project

Aim

Gorseinon Cricket Club need to replace the Outfield mower and Scarifier due to them being beyond economical repair.

Who are we?

Gorseinon Cricket Club is one of the oldest Cricket Clubs in the South Wales Cricket League. Formed in 1903 we are still going strong with good participation levels at all ages.

Current teams include 4 senior men's teams, ladies softball team, 7 junior sides as well as an ECB supported All Stars (5-8) programme and a girls team.

Why are we crowdfunding?

We are in desperate need to replace some very old and worn out machinery. Some of the current equipment is now beyond economical repair and will need to be replace in the next 12 months if we are to continue to provide quality grass pitches moving forward. 

New machines would complete the job in half the time meaning less pressure on volunteer staff and far less expense in maintaining.

How we’ll spend the money raised

The total cost of replacement machinery would be £30,000. We are looking to raise half of this amount through contributions with some support from Sport Wales and local businesses contributing to the final amount.

Community impact

Gorseinon Cricket Club is at the heart of the local community and plays a very important part in bringing people together. From 6 years old in the all stars to our oldest member Mrs Lang at 94 we have been an ever present part of lots of peoples lives.

There are four simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.

2. Spread the word. Share our project on your social media pages and tell the world to get behind us! The more people we reach, the more support we will get.
