This seven‑day, six‑night educational trip with Volcanoes Safaris includes one night at the Hemmingway Retreat in Kigali, Rwanda followed by full‑board stays at two of their spectacular lodges: Virunga Lodge in Rwanda and Mount Gahinga Lodge in Uganda.

You will have the opportunity to visit mountain gorillas in both countries, with expert‑guided gorilla treks for two people in Volcanoes National Park (Rwanda) and Mgahinga National Park (Uganda) included, plus the chance to visit rare golden monkeys. Volcanoes Safaris will also arrange all ground transfers.

To top it all off, our Top Prize also includes a £2,000 flights voucher which can be used towards your international flights to and from Kigali, Rwanda.

Since 1997, Volcanoes Safaris has offered curated gorilla, chimpanzee and wildlife experiences, led by expert guides, from its award‑winning lodges near the finest great ape sites in Rwanda and Uganda. Its leadership in great ape ecotourism has been recognised by numerous international awards.

You could also win one of four runner‑up prizes: signed copies of Sir David Attenborough’s A Life on Our Planet paperback book.

For full details of what is included, please see the Terms and Conditions.

Help Save Mountain Gorillas

Mountain gorillas are one of the world’s most endangered great apes, found only in the forests of Rwanda, Uganda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Their numbers have slowly increased in recent decades, but they still face serious threats from habitat loss, climate change, human–wildlife conflict and disease.

By entering this prize draw, you’ll be supporting three organisations working on the front line of mountain gorilla conservation: WWF-UK, Fauna & Flora and the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund. Your support will not only help protect vital forest habitat, reduce conflict with surrounding communities, fund long-term research and monitoring, and ensure local people benefit from living alongside gorillas, but also go towards supporting wider environmental work to protect nature and our planet

Your support will help safeguard these remarkable animals and the ecosystems they depend on – so that mountain gorillas can continue to survive and thrive in the wild for generations to come.
