🎉 AMAZING NEWS!
Thanks to the incredible generosity of everyone who has donated and supported our fundraising, we’ve now raised enough money to purchase our defibrillator and heated cabinet! 🥹❤️
Our lovely electrician, Cam, has also generously offered to donate his time and materials to install it completely free of charge in early November!
The money raised through this campaign is helping us make our community defibrillator a reality, and any funds raised above what’s needed for our defibrillator will be donated to Yorkshire Ambulance Service Charity. 🚑
We’re hoping that any additional money raised can help them provide another defibrillator somewhere else, potentially saving even more lives!

❤️ Why We’re Doing This
Recently, we experienced an emergency at Elite Fitness where a defibrillator was needed.
Someone went to collect the closest available defibrillator from Goole Council Offices, but when it arrived, the pads didn’t have the correct connectors and it couldn’t be used.
Being in a situation where somebody genuinely needs a defibrillator, and then finding that the one you’ve managed to get can’t actually be used, really changes how you think about having this equipment nearby.
Afterwards, we looked more closely at the defibrillators around us. Although several appear on the map, when we checked, a number were showing as unavailable while others had limited or varied access.
So we decided to do something about it.
We want to install a defibrillator outside Her Gym in Goole that will be publicly accessible 24 hours a day.
This isn’t a defibrillator just for Her Gym or Elite Fitness. It will be there for ANYONE in our community who needs it, whether that’s one of our members, somebody working nearby, a local resident or simply someone passing by.
Hopefully it will sit there for years and none of us will ever need it.
But if we do, we want it to be there, accessible, working and ready. ❤️
🥾 Our Christmas Community Walk
