We want to champion small suppliers around the world that create fun, ethical products for children. A different kind of online shop.
The planet is in trouble. But there are actions we can take as individuals to make a difference. We can change things for the better.
The lifestyles we lead are harming our home. Plastic is polluting both our land and seas; a shocking 91% of all plastic waste isn't recycled. Our demands for goods at a cheap price means that the people around the world who make our products can be exploited and often work in unsafe conditions for very little money.

But the choices we make can change things for the better. I'm Lucy, the founder of Good Things. I've been inspired by innovative products changing the world:
Here I am working with female entrepreneurs in Tanzania last year:
I've worked for 10 years in both the corporate and charity sectors. I've spent time in Nepal and Tanzania working with entrepreneurs as they set up small businesses.
The products are out there, the challenge is that these suppliers are often small and struggle to tell people about their brilliant products.
Good Things seeks out innovative, fair and sustainable products for kids that do great things. We will champion these suppliers, tell their stories and offer their products in our online shop. We want to make it easy for people to make choices that have a positive impact on the planet. We wrap these products up and send them out in completely recyclable packaging.
Our shop will go live on the 15th of July. Your donation will help us support more independent suppliers and to tell a greater number of people about their products. Ultimately this enables these projects to increase their activities, employing more people and making an even bigger impact.
We're a small start-up with big ambitions. We've already been awarded the Fast Track to Growth Award 2019 for our plans to build and scale this project, but we need your help to make these plans a reality. I'm putting all my savings into this project and our aim is to supplement this with £3000 crowdfunding. Eventually we want to expand beyond products for children and offer a wide range of gifts that do good things.
Your donation will help us support local, national and international projects making ethical products. They are all working in a sustainable way and many employ people who might otherwise struggle to find well-paid work, or to find work at all. A sustainable livelihood is one of the most powerful ways of transforming lives, it gives people the power to pay for their children to go to school and for vital healthcare.
Thank you for supporting Good Things.
