Crowdfunding to give the world a jab, via the GB team.
Putting our money where our mouth is...and doing our bit to vaccinate the world.
Only 9.5% of the world's population has received at least one dose of a Covid-19 vaccine. And until that figure rises to as close to 100% as possible, we aren't out of the tunnel, in terms of economic recovery and public health. More jabs means more jobs, and more lives saved.
Covax, the international scheme set up to ensure equitable access, provides the mechanism to make it happen. It needs additional investment of around $4 billion to ensure it can vaccinate 40% of the world’s population by the end of this year and 60% by the end of next. Other steps are vital too – cross-border flows of raw materials, donations of unused vaccines, and vaccine uptake. But ensuring Covax has the financing it needs is fundamental.
In addition to our work supporting Vaccinaid, the development of the business giving programme, and getting the message out to our network, we are inviting the Good Business team to donate and for every donation, big or small, from a team member, we will contribute £100.
