To raise at least £1000 to support Greg’s fight against cancer.

From the moment I met Greg, we clicked.
I’d just landed in North Carolina as a fresh-faced 19-year-old, worried that no one would understand my Wigan accent, or believe I was old enough to be supervising children! The first person I saw was this big fella who stood up, towering over me, stuck his hand out and went ‘Alright lad, I’m Greg, nice to meet you’, in a calming scouse accent.
That was it. Me and ‘Goliath’ spent plenty early starts in the gym together, went out on leave together and I couldn’t get enough of his stories. This lad wasn’t massively older than me but I looked up to him (not just in stature!) like an older brother.

We’ve remained close over the ten years since and I know my wife and family hold him in equally as high regard.
That’s why, when I recently found out that Greg had cancer, I thought I needed to do something to help my mate on the other side of the world. Not only has he already been through plenty of personal struggles this year, he’s doing it all away from family and a lot of friends.

So I’m aiming to sell at least 100 of my children’s book ‘My Brother Has Cancer’, to reach a £1000 target, to lend a helping hand to a gentle giant and an absolute gent. All proceeds will go straight to supporting Greg as he wins his fight against cancer. You can also choose to simply donate to this important cause.

I feel sorry for you cancer - you’ve picked the wrong fella to mess with!
