Which we simply want to get to frontline NHS staff as fast as possible.
This will allow us to manufacture for another two to three weeks, at current rate.
If we can make it beyond £2,000 we would like to purchase more expensive materials for the visor, anti-microbial silicon, making it easier to clean and reuse. And we'd like to make as many as humanly possible.

Practice Tutors from the Art, Design and Computing departments at Goldsmiths College, University of London are coming together to manufacture PPE for frontline NHS Staff at London hospitals amidst the Coronavirus pandemic.
We are collaborating with Helpful Engineering, a volunteer organisation of 4000+ engineers, designers and doctors who are working on an open source solution to produce Full Face Visors for NHS Staff. This organisation is already producing and distributing these visors to 10 London Hospitals and we want to help them go further.
The team, from the Department of Art, Department of Design and Department of Computing are combining skills and equipment to manufacture an open source visor design in large quantities, with staff from all departments doing shifts on campus and using 3D printers in their homes.
With the help of your generously donated funds we will be able to purchase the higher quality materials required to produce face shields than can be sanitised and reused, therefore reducing demand on congested production channels and creating a more sustainable manufacturing model.
Using Goldsmiths’ laser cutters, 3D printers and large-format printers, volunteers are working on campus in the university’s studios, while keeping strictly to social distancing rules.
Production began on Tuesday 21 April, with materials from existing stock and we can currently make around 2-3,000 visors per week.
At this rate we will start to run out of materials in two weeks. With your help we hope to be able to keep making as many as we can to support our NHS and local communities through this crisis
No staff members will be paid for their time committed to manufacture and all funds will be used to purchase materials only.
Any surplus funds will be donated directly to our local hospitals.
