Help us fund a portable shelter to keep young players warm, dry and safe so they can enjoy Rugby whatever the weather
Who are we?
I’m proud to introduce the Golborne Parkside U10’s — a brilliant group of young rugby players who show up every week with enthusiasm, resilience and a willingness to learn. They’re still small in size, but huge in spirit. Our team is built on community support, dedicated volunteers and families who give everything to help these kids grow both on and off the pitch
Why are we crowdfunding?
Anyone who’s stood on a touchline around here knows how brutal the weather can be. Rain, wind, freezing temperatures — our kids face it all during matchdays and tournaments.
We’re raising funds for a portable shelter to keep the team warm, dry and safe. This will give them a protected space to rest between games, recover after matches, and stay out of harsh conditions. It also gives us coaches a secure base for first aid, equipment, and team talks.
This shelter will make a genuine difference to their comfort, safety, and enjoyment of rugby.

How we’ll spend the money raised
Every penny will go directly to improving the matchday experience for our young players
Budget breakdown:
Portable matchday shelter: £799
4.5m full wall £160
3m half wall x 2 £210
Community impact
Golborne Parkside is more than a rugby club — it’s a community. Our team brings together children from all backgrounds, giving them a place to belong, grow, and build confidence. We host festivals, welcome visiting teams, and create a positive environment for families across the area.
This shelter will support not just our U10’s, but the wider community who rely on our club for sport, connection and opportunity.
