Aim

Your generous support will help us finish our film 'Gobhar' and Legacy of Beathag and fund payment of cast and crew for the research.

Gobhar is a bold, atmospheric west coast art-house film set on the mystical Isle of Arran, made entirely with Scottish or Scotland based cast and crew. We're raising funds to complete production and bring this story to audiences hungry for authentic, emotionally resonant cinema rooted in landscape, lore, and identity.

This is a film about transformation, memory, and the pull of the past. At its heart is Linda—a woman on the run, sheltered in a cave, navigating the raw terrain of heartbreak, motherhood, and the ancient spirits of the mountain.

Your support will help us finish this powerful, homegrown story: from post-production and sound design to refunding expenses, paying our artists, distribution and festival submissions. Together, we can honour Scotland's artistic talent, rich traditions, and unique storytelling voice.

Join us in making Gobhar a cinematic reality!

The film is also the opening part of an innovative PhD study which tests the creative impact of inserting a well being model onto a film set of cast and crew and its affect on facilitating inclusive and collaborative creative practice.

The film was written, directed and produced by Carrie Day who after completing the script in April had a bit of a cave like initiation herself! She has solely funded the film, taken care of pre-production and submitted and had accepted her ethics proposal. We have a starting target of £2000 to complete the film and pay everyone something. A stretch target would help with other expenses so we are aiming high and hoping hard.

Please share our campaign and help us fund a film born to inspire healing!
