Help equip a new Callout Team Member

Aim

It costs over £1000 to equip a new callout member. We have groups of new callout members who will need equipped this Winter and next Spring.

Galloway MRT is a voluntary organisation providing search and rescue assistance, at the request of Police Scotland, to the public in south-west Scotland.

Our area covers from Stranraer in the west to near Dumfries in the east and north to South Ayrshire. We have a Team Base in Newton Stewart and also have vehicles based in Ayr and Castle Douglas to ensure a prompt response across our large area.

We currently have a group of Trainee Members who will be going forward for assessment in November and a further group next Spring. Help with funding the costs of providing equipment including clothing, torches, first aid kits, helmets and harnesses is very much appreciated. It costs over £1000 to equip one member.
