Aim

We are raising money to provide a warm hub, provide advice around reducing fuel poverty and supply "keep warm" packs to vulnerable people.

Be a community champion and help us to keep helping.

We want to make sure we can help as many people as possible, especially as the cost of living crisis is continuing.

To do that we need your help. Your money reimburses volunteers,  helps buy hot drinks and food and provide a warm safe space for vulnerable people. We also provide emergency food, blankets, hot water bottles and other items when possible. 

We are also going to recruit aditional advisers as other services across the City have been vastly reduced. We can not sit here and do NOTHING whilst people are suffering! We are setting up some pc's for clienrs to be able to use, so they can access their universal credit account, with additional support as needed. Advisers are able to offer a full and inclusive welfare rights service and at present we are the only place that an offer this.

As the weather improves we will turn the Warm Hub into a Learning Hub. We will grow fruit, vegetables and flowers. People can eat and cook at the centre and take food home. We will provide access IT training, learn about budgeting, planning, sewing, confidence building, improving self esteem and widen the reach of our peer support groups.

Some of the funds raised will be used to reimburse the charity for expenses such as gas electricity and water when we are completing our cooked meals support.

Everyone who comes to the Community Centre will also be able to access advice and support from Welfare Rights Advisers and Community Support Workers.
