We are aiming to raise enough funds to sponsor the Away Stand at Huish Park for the 2020/21 season, supporting the YTFC Crowdfunder campaign
At a time when we should be taking stock of how Yeovil Town's first season back in the National League has panned out, and potentially be embarking on a Play-Off campaign, we are currently unsure of whether the admirable efforts of Darren Sarll's men will count for anything at all. Clearly the most important consideration is the health and wellbeing of the public, and who knows how long the restrictions in public events will have to continue in order to beat the Coronavirus.
For now Yeovil Town FC, like many other organisations and businesses, have been affected by the void in income and are looking to reduce the impact of this by offering packages and experiences to 'pre-order' through its own Crowdfunder campaign which started on Thursday evening.
The Glovers Trust have been exploring ways in which we can support to the Club, both during this time and longer term and at the same time hope to raise awareness of Supporters Trusts and what they can achieve. With this in mind we have, with the backing of Yeovil Town FC, launched our own Crowdfunder page, with the distinct aim of raising money to 'pre-order' one of the larger packages in the Club's offering.
As yet we don't know what this will be but we have targeted £5,000 to sponsor the Away Stand at Huish Park for the 2020/21 season. Whatever funds we are able to raise through this page will be directly donated by the Trust to Yeovil Town FC through their Crowdfunder scheme for one or more packages. All individuals who donate above £10 will also be eligible for a raffle where they could win any of the additional offerings that form part of those packages (e.g. season tickets/football shirts).
The Trust is a member of the Football Supporters Association and run entirely by volunteers, who are supporters of Yeovil Town FC. It is a democratic organisation which anyone can join, and anyone over the age of 16 can apply to join the Trust Board annually. There are no special qualifications to join the Trust Board - you don't need to be a Superman, Superwoman or an Einstein, just a love of Yeovil Town FC and have the enthusiasm and dedication to make a difference! You can find out more on our website and Facebook page.
We fully appreciate that these are difficult times for many but any donations would be gratefully received and will also feed into the Club's donation to Yeovil Hospital Charity.
Here's hoping we can Achieve By Unity and ensure our Club is in the best position possible when Football can eventually resume!
We ask project owners to honour their rewards wherever possible but please note that all pledges are donations and there is no guarantee that you will receive any rewards from the project owner. Please see Crowdfunder's Terms of Use for more information regarding rewards for pledges.
