Who are we?
We are Gleniffer Thistle, a grassroots football team based in Paisley, Scotland. We are Gleniffer 2016's as our team were born in that year. We are all eight and nine years old and we love playing football as part of the Gleniffer Thistle who were founded in 1972 and have been providing grassroots football opportunities for over 50 years.

Why are we crowdfunding?
We are crowdfunding to raise funds to take the boys and girls of Gleniffer Thistle 2016's to Nothern Ireland in Summer 2025 to participate in the Foyle Cup. This will be a big expense as the children will need to travel with the team coaches and be chaperoned by parents. The festival takes place across various locations over several days so will mean travel from Paisley across to Northern Ireland by car and then travel and accommodation within Ireland during the festival to compete in the football games.

How we’ll spend the money raised
The money will be spent on travel and accommodation for players, coaches and family members so the team can attend and for team kit.

Community impact
The Foyle Cup in Northern Ireland is an amazing opportunity for Gleniffer Thistle's 2016 kids to compete against clubs from all over the world at the 6 day event. This is one of the highest regarded football tournaments in Europe and will see our 8 year olds enter into their first competitive event as they continue their journey in the beautiful game.
