Help Us Secure the Future of The Glenelg Shop

The Glenelg Shop is more than just a store—it’s the heart of our village and a cornerstone of our community. It's for sale, and we have the opportunity to buy it collectively, ensuring it remains a vital resource for generations to come.

We have applied for grant funding, which, if successful, will help make this dream a reality. However, we still need additional support to cover the remaining costs, including the purchase of the business, stock, and legal expenses.

By bringing The Glenelg Shop into community ownership, we can:

What happens if we don't get the grant funding we applied for?

We obviously hope that our funding application is successful, and we think we've got a solid business case, but the unexpected can happen.  If for whatever reason, we can't proceed with the purchase, we'll return any donations to you.
