As Glenalmond College celebrates 150 years of its Combined Cadet Force (CCF), we stand at an important moment in our school's history—one that honours our rich military tradition while looking forward to a future filled with opportunity and growth. To commemorate this milestone, we are excited to launch the Rifle Club Fundraiser, a campaign that aims to support and enhance the development of our Shooting program for generations to come.
Our vision is to continue fostering leadership, teamwork, and resilience through the CCF, ensuring that it remains a cornerstone of the Glenalmond experience and that shooting is an important part. The funds raised through this initiative will go directly toward upgrading our equipment, expanding training opportunities, and providing our students with the resources they need to thrive. This includes the purchase of new rifles, uniforms, and safety equipment, as well as the installation of electronic targets that push our students to excel.
Our fundraiser is split into four phases, the level of support we secure will inform what stages we can complete.
Phase 1 - £9,000 Replacement of current Rifle equipment
Phase 2 - £14,000 Above plus ancillary items such as electronic ear protection, better-enabling coach to firer conversations
Phase 3 - £35,000 Above plus installation of electronic targets, enhancing provision and access to wider shooting competitions
Phase 4 - £50,000 Above plus refurbishment of the range, increasing use and establishing Glenalmond as a shooting destination.
Together, let’s invest in the future of our cadets and celebrate a century and a half of Glenalmond’s proud military tradition.
