TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
1. By entering this prize draw (“Draw”), you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
2. The promotor is Glastonbury Festival Events Limited (hereafter GFEL), a private limited company in England and Wales (04348175) with registered office at Worthy Farm, Pilton, Shepton Mallet, BA4 4BY.
3. Funds raised through the prize draw will be split equally between The British Red Cross Society (registered charity in England and Wales: 220949 and Scotland: SC037738, Isle of Man 0752, and Jersey: 430), Oxfam (registered charity in England and Wales: 202918 and Scotland: SC039042), War Child (Registered charity number 1071659).
4. The proportion of funding designated to the British Red Cross will go to their Disaster Fund. When disaster strikes, the Red Cross will be there for people when the worst happens, no matter who they are or where they’re from. Urgent aid will be provided including: first aid, food, clean water and shelter, cash to buy essentials like warm clothing and medicine, and emotional support. The donation will help the Red Cross respond to disasters in the UK and around the world including armed conflict, climate emergencies and natural disasters.
5. The proportion of funding designated to Oxfam will go into their emergency fund. Oxfam’s emergency fund helps build shelter to protect families in crisis, supplies clean water to prevent the spread of deadly diseases and ensures that people who have lost everything have the basics like food, soap and cooking utensils. All vital. All lifesaving. The emergency fund allows Oxfam and its partners to respond rapidly to natural disasters and emergency situations.
Eligibility
6. The prize draw is open to residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 or over only. GFEL disclaims any liability for entries that are made in violation of any applicable laws or regulations. Entrants from jurisdictions where the Draw is prohibited acknowledge that their entry may be considered void and are not eligible for any prizes. It is your responsibility to ensure that your participation is lawful, and GFEL reserves the right to disqualify any entries deemed to be in violation of any laws or regulations, and will not be liable in any way if any entrant enters the prize draw unlawfully.
7. Anyone entering the prize draw accepts that in the event that they win a prize they are responsible for any and all expenses which they may incur which are incidental or connected to the prize including without limitation their own travel to and from the event (and that of their Guest), including complying with any visa requirements.
8. Entrants must be aged 18 or over. The Guest must be aged 13 or over, and anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied to the Festival by a responsible adult (aged 18 or over, who would usually be the parent, carer, legal guardian or other adult entrusted with the care of that child) who accepts full responsibility and full supervision, at all times, for all under 16s attending under their supervision.
9. Entrant(s) must not be an employee or supplier (or a family member of an employee or a supplier) of GFEL, Crowdfunder, any of the charities listed above nor any of those parties’ associated companies or entities.
Entry Requirements and Entry Period
10. Entrants may enter the Draw either by free postal entry, or (at the entrants discretion) by making a payment to the Crowdfunder campaign;
11. Paid entry to the prize draw is available via Crowdfunder (www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/glastonbury-emergency-fund).
12. For free entry, postal entrants may enter the promotion:
a. By mailing their full name and a contact telephone number (including area code if providing a landline number) or other method of contact (as applicable) to the following postal address: Emergency Fund Prize Draw, PO BOX 4288, Shepton Mallet, BA4 9BB
b. By sending an entry within an envelope. Entries received other than in an envelope will not be accepted. Maximum one entry per envelope.
13. The prize draw opens at 12:00 noon (GMT) on 1st March 2024 (‘Opening Date’) and closes at 12.00 noon (GMT) on 28th March 2024 (‘Closing Date’). Any entries received after the Entry Period will not be accepted. Personal and hand delivered entries will not be accepted.
14. GFEL is not responsible for any delays in delivery or receipt of postal entries.
The Draw and The Prize Winners
15. A random draw of all valid entries will take place within 7 days of the Closing Date as stated above to select the twenty (20) winners. The winners will be notified by email or telephone, and MUST respond within 7 days of the date of contact. If any selected winner does not meet any or all of the entry conditions or refuses the offer or fails to respond within 7 days, the Promoter may in its discretion select another entrant at random from the remaining eligible entries as soon as practicable as a replacement and to become a winner.
16. Once the Closing Date has passed, each individual valid entry will be entered into the draw.
17. Multiple entries per person are permitted, but only one Prize per person will be given. For the avoidance of doubt, each winning entrant will only be entitled to one of the twenty (20) pairs of tickets.
18. Entries from agents, third parties, syndicated entries or those made using methods such as a computer macro, script or the use of automated devices are not permitted in any way.
19. The promoter decision as to the Prize winners is final. Unsuccessful entrants will not be contacted. In the event that GFEL is unable to contact a winner(s) within a reasonable timeframe following GFEL’s draw, GFEL reserves the right to award prize(s) to an alternative Entrant(s) without further delay.
The Prizes
20. Each winner will receive two (2) general admission entry tickets to the 2024 Festival with which they can redeem entry to the Festival for themselves and a guest (“Guest”). Each winner must accept sole responsibility for the care and safety of any Guest under the age of 16-years on 26th June 2024, for the duration of the event.
21. The prizes are non-exchangeable, non-transferable and are not redeemable for cash or other prizes.
22. All prizes will be personalised to the named winner and their Guest and may not be sold or transferred to another person or redeemed for cash.
23. The winners will be required to provide the Glastonbury Registration number for themselves and their Guest. Details of how to obtain the Glastonbury Registration number will be provided to the winners.
24. The winner and their Guest will be required to verify their identity as the named ticket holder in order to gain access to the event.
25. For UK based winners, tickets will be dispatched two (2) weeks prior to the event and to the postal address provided in registration and will require a signature on delivery, or if required, can be held at the box office for collection by the winner.
26. The winner and their Guest must arrive at the event together.
27. Entry is subject to the full Glastonbury Ticket Terms and Conditions of Entry.
28. The receipt by the winning entrant of any of the Prizes is conditional upon the winning entrant’s compliance with these rules. Winning entrants may be required to provide a written acknowledgement of these rules and other terms and conditions, consents or releases relating to the Prizes.
29. The approximate retail value of each prize is £720
General
30. GFEL shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations to the winner(s) if such delay or failure is caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
31. GFEL reserves the right to make any reasonable amendments to these Terms and Conditions at any stage. In this event, a notice will be posted on (www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/glastonbury-emergency-fund). GFEL also reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the prize draw where it becomes necessary to do so (including without limitation where any entrant(s) is/are found to be abusing or tampering with the operation of the Draw or entering using fraudulent means, or whom GFEL believes to have acted in breach of these terms and conditions, or in respect of Entrant(s) who do not give correct contact details or those who make an entry on someone else's behalf..
32. Any personal information collected by GFEL in connection with a prize draw will be used in accordance with GFEL’s Privacy Policy (https://www.glastonburyfestivals.co.uk/privacy-policy/)
33. A list of winners can be obtained by sending a stamped addressed envelope to Emergency Fund Prize Draw, PO BOX 4288, Shepton Mallet, BA4 9BB, together with the details of the prize draw winners list you require within thirty (30) days from the Closing Date.
34. GFEL will make available information that indicates a prize has been awarded under this draw. To comply with this obligation GFEL will send the surname and county of prize winners to anyone who writes to Emergency Fund Prize Draw, PO BOX 4288, Shepton Mallet, BA4 9BB (enclosing a self-addressed envelope) within one (1) month after the Closing Date stated in clause 12. If you object to any or all of your surname, county and winning entry being published or made available, please contact GFEL at ‘[email protected]’. In such circumstances, GFEL must still provide the information and winning entries to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.
35. GFEL cannot accept any responsibility for any damage, loss, injury or disappointment suffered by any entrant(s) entering the Draw, or as a result of accepting any prize(s). GFEL is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, online computer systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment or software, failure of any email or entry to be received on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any web site, or any combination of these, including any injury or damage to entrant(s) or any other person’s computer or mobile telephone related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in the Draw. To the extent permitted by applicable law, GFEL’s liability under or in connection with the Draw or these terms and conditions shall be limited to the cost price of the Prize(s) in question.
36. GFEL and their respective current and future parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, licensees, successors and assigns and all of their respective officers, directors, agents and employees (collectively, “Released Parties”) are not responsible for entries that are lost, late, incomplete, inaccessible / blocked, corrupted, misdirected, delayed or damaged, regardless of cause, all of which are void.
37. By participating in the Draw and/or accepting a prize(s), entrant(s) agree(s) to hold GFEL and Released Parties harmless against any and all claims and liability arising out of participation in this draw or use/misuse of prize(s). Entrant(s) assume all liability for any injury or damage caused or claimed to be caused by participation in this draw or use or redemption of any prize(s). Claims may not be resolved by any form of class action.
38. GFEL’s failure to enforce any provision of these Terms and Conditions in a given instance shall not constitute the waiver of such provisions.
39. Winner(s) name, likeness and social media username may be posted on the social media profile of GFEL after winner(s) has been selected, but there is no obligation for GFEL to do so.
40. In the event of any dispute regarding these terms and conditions, conduct, results and all other matters relating to the Draw, the decision of GFEL shall be final, and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into.
41. Draw may be cancelled, modified, terminated or suspended in the event of any computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes outside the control of GFEL which impairs or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the Draw. GFEL reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any entrant(s) who tamper(s) with any entry or has harassed any GFEL representative or any other entrant(s) and to cancel, modify, terminate or suspend the GFEL.
42. In the event of termination, a notice will be posted on www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/glastonbury-emergency-fund and/or on GFEL’s Instagram (@glastofest) and winner(s) will be determined from entries received prior to cancellation based on the same criteria listed above.
43. Entry to the prize draw if conditional on acceptance of these terms and conditions, which are governed exclusively by the laws of England and Wales and under the exclusive jurisdiction of the English and Welsh courts. By entering this Draw you are deemed to have read and accepted these terms.
