Established in 1986, the Tigers are one of Britain's longest-established American Football teams. Throughout five decades, we've helped people from all walks of life take up football and get involved in sports.
But as costs rise across the board, we continually face the challenge of keeping entry barriers to the sport low. American football can carry a high cost for players with field equipment required, as well as travel around the country to participate in a minority sport with teams spread far and wide.
We provide kit for new players, as well as ensuring training, game and transport are provided - but this comes at an ever-increasing cost, replacing aged kit and price rises.
To make sure we can keep providing high-quality kit and a high-quality sporting experience to players, we are looking for support ahead of the new season. All money raised will go towards new equipment for players - including jerseys, helmets and shoulder pads - as well as meeting the costs of training and travel to away games.

What are the risks if you can't raise funds?
The Tigers have always been able to meet costs but particularly given cost-of-living pressures over the last few seasons, we find ourselves increasingly stretched.
If we cannot continue to support our players there is the risk that some may find themselves excluded if they cannot self-fund travel to our furthest away games, or are required to pay extra on top of club membership to cover the cost of training.
Alongside the crowdfunder we will continually look for additional income streams - we are entirely volunteer-run and any surplus is reinvested into the club, and so we are always looking to identify new grants and other fundraising opportunities.
How does the team typically fund a season?
Each player pays an annual membership fee of £300 which allows us to provide equipment and pay for training and travel.
However, as costs rise, we want to keep this annual fee as low as possible and are looking to supplement membership fees with wider support from sponsors and the community.
Who makes up the Tigers membership?
We are a true community club, open to all regardless of gender, age, race or any other characteristic.
Over the last 38 years we've welcomed players from every walk of life, including many from minority communities who find a home and a support network as part of the Tigers.
We're proud to have this ethos at the heart of all we do, and recognise that ever-increasing costs pose a risk to allowing anyone to take up the sport.
