In loving memory of Robin Watson

Robin passed away peacefully on the 31st of August following a short battle with Cancer. He was a professional musician and member of Gaberlunzie, entertaining people from all over the world for over 50 years.

The livelihood of a professional musician can be a precarious one, however Robin (and Gaberlunzie) weathered many storms with the continued support of friends and the Scottish Folk Music family.

The current COVID situation however, has been unlike anything before. Many musicians rely on being able to provide live music to earn a living.

If you would like to remember Robin by contributing to a cause that he would like to see supported, the musicians union have a hardship fund to support musicians who are in financial hardship as a result of coronavirus.
