Aim
To build an amazing new skatepark in Brighton Youth Centre's new building opening in October
Brighton Youth Centre has been at the heart of the city's youth support for over a century. We're now nearing the end of a huge regeneration project due to complete in October 2025, transforming our 1960s building into a modern and accessible youth hub to serve young people for the next 100 years.
The £7m, granted by the government led Youth Investment Fund and Brighton & Hove City Council, was given to us to fund the design and construction of the new building only. Now it's nearing completion, we need to raise funds to make it a real home and fill it - starting with one of our main attractions, our top floor skatepark.

Funding The Skatepark
The skatepark has been a vital part of BYC for over 25 years and a cornerstone of our youth offer. It’s where thousands of young people have come to build confidence, find community, challenge themselves physically and mentally, and experience freedom and self-expression.
The money awarded was to fund the construction of the building only. We are now needing to raise funds to fit BYC out and make it the best youth centre we can.
Now, with the centre due to reopen in October 2025, we’re asking for your support to make sure the skatepark comes back better than ever and is ready to roll on day one.

BYC is an independent charity and relies on the community to keep our doors open. Every donation – big or small – gets us closer to opening the skatepark and giving Brighton’s youth the centre they deserve.
What We Do
Established in 1917, Brighton Youth Centre is one of Brighton & Hove’s longest running and best-used youth services. BYC is a safe space where all young people have the freedom to be themselves, come together, learn from each other and challenge themselves to make a difference in their own lives and the lives of their community. We are an independent charity and largely self funded. We rely on donations to allow us to continue open our doors to young people every day and offer a wide range of activities, events and support.
