Give the past a future today! Help Creswell Crags, its stories and collections thrive and survive beyond COVID-19.

Creswell Heritage Trust is an independent charity, protecting and preserving the site of Creswell Crags, and artefacts discovered there, which includes Britain's only verified Ice Age Rock Art and largest collection of apotropaic Witch Marks in the UK. Together this important heritage site tells the compelling story of the Ice Age Hunter, animals long extinct, and the fears and superstitions of our early modern ancestors.

As an independent charity, Creswell Crags is entirely funded through donations and grant funding and receives no regular central or local government support to manage or maintain the site, its museum, and collections. As an educational charity, Creswell Crags is committed to the continued conservation of the archaeological significant caves and thousands of artefacts and markings discovered therein. To deliver a world-class education programme for all visitors, to keep the story of Britain's last Ice Age, and people who survived it, alive and relevant for generations. 

Every year, Creswell Crags welcomes 75,000 visitors to the site and puts over 12,000 children through its award-winning education programme, ensuring that the stories of our oldest ancestors and the environment they lived in will always be relevant.  

COVID-19 removed all visitor income from Creswell Crags and is continuing to impact bookings since re-opening in August due to restrictions around social gatherings and visitor capacity. The Trust, which ensures our shared human history is remembered and re-discovered needs your support to thrive! Give the past a future through your donation to Creswell Crags.
